Such combination looks very uncomfortable to wear. No wonder, the bloke’s so upset.
Is this is the fabric I think it is then it makes the polo difficult to wear either way.

Not so! In my experience this combo is perfectly comfortable. I guess the fellow is having a little fun with the camera; the sneer merely an affectation.
